Judith Lynn DeStefano - Soprano

A voice of exceptional beauty and purity, Judith Lynn DeStefano has distinguished herself before American, European and South American audiences by her appearances in opera, concert and radio and television. She has a repertoire of over 37 operas from both the lyric and coloratura repertoire as well as a vast concert repertoire. She was a winner in the American Opera Auditions and subsequently debuted in Florence, Italy, singing the title role in Lucia di Lammermoor at the Teatro alla Pergola and a concert in the Teatro Nuovo di Milano. 

From there she sang in over forty cities throughout Italy touring with the Orchestra Lirica Sinfonica di Milano. Ms. DeStefano's repertoire encompasses the leading soprano roles in Lucia di Lammermoor, La Traviata, Rigoletto, La Boheme, Pecheurs de Perles, Lakme, Die Entfuhrung aus dem Serial (Konstanze), The Magic Flute (Queen of the Night), I Lombardi, and many others.

She has sung these roles with such opera companies as, New York City Opera, The Israel National Opera, Philadelphia Grand Opera Co., the Stichting Haagse Volksopera, The Hague, The Netherlands, Teatro de la Opera de Maracay, Venezuela, and the Connecticut Grand Opera, Bridgeport, Connecticut.

Ms. DeStefano's next appearances will be in the opera Madama Butterfly by G. Puccini and the Requiem Mass by G. Verdi.
